Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) of more than 300,000 women. The programming and resource options for the organization offer a variety of ways for women to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community.

PW Purpose:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
to support the mission of the church worldwide,
to work for justice and peace,
and to build an inclusive, caring community.

Our local circle is a dedicated body involved in:

Monthly Meetings (fourth Tuesday at 2:00 PM)
Monthly Working Women's Bible Study (second Tuesday at 6:00 PM)
Bereavement meals
Contributing to the benevolences of the church
Cookie baskets for the shut-ins at Christmas
Goodies boxes for college kids
Cards for shut-ins and special occasions
Cake and Punch for the State Hospital
Hosting a yearly banquet for all women of the church
Honoring Lifetime Membership
Willie Hall Black Scholarship fund for those called to ministry
Church Women United (Women from various Big Spring Churches)
Tres Rios Presbytery Involvment
Supporting mission at all levels: Presbytery, Synod and Churchwide.
